13 students and 4 faculty members of ISRT have been awarded Dean’s Award of the faculty of science, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh on January 16, 2019. Nasrin Lipi, Noor Jahan Akter, Ashfia Tasnim Munia, Avizit Chandra Adhikary, and Momenul Haque Mondol of academic session 2014-2015; Rownak Jahan Tamanna, and Md. Mynul Islam of academic session 2015-2016; Tasneem Fatima Alam, Nowrin Nusrat, Ema Akter, Sorif Hossain, Kazy Farhat Tabassum, and Md. Nasim Saba Nishat of academic session 2016-2017 have received this prestigious award for their academic excellence in B.S. Honors Examinations.
Dr. M. Shafiqur Rahman is the 2017 Awardee for his research publication “Performance of Firth-and log F-type penalized methods in risk prediction for small or sparse binary data” in the “Professor/Associate Professor” category. Dr. Tamanna Howlader is another 2017 Awardee in the same category for writing book chapter “Mathematical and Statistical Applications in the Life Sciences and Engineering”. Dr. Md. Anower Hossain has also been awarded this coveted award for his research publication “Missing binary outcomes under covariate dependent missingness in cluster randomised trials” in the “Assistant Professor/ Lecturer” category of 2017. In this category, Mr. Nabil Awan, another faculty member of ISRT, is the 2016 Awardee for his research publication “Efficient estimation in two-stage randomized clinical trials using ranked sets”.
