SRT (Institute of Statistical Research and Training) has successfully organized a training program on “Capacity Building on Educational Data Analysis Techniques and Report Writing” for TMED (Technical and Madrasha Education Division), DTE (Directorate of Technical Education), BTEB (Bangladesh Technical Education Board), BANBEIS (Bangladesh Bureau of Educational Information and Statistics), and NSDA (National Skill Development Authority) officials.” The training program occurred from 30th January 2023 to 19th March 2023 at ISRT.

The objective of the training program was to strengthen the institutional capacity in monitoring and evaluation by equipping officials with data analysis and report writing capabilities. This initiative aimed to enhance the timeliness and quality of the Annual Sector Performance Report (ASPR) and other statistical reports. A total of 28 participants were nominated from TMED, DTE, BTEB, NSDA, and BANBEIS. The participants included one Director (Joint Secretary), one Deputy Secretary, three Deputy Directors, eighteen Assistant Directors level officers, and five Assistant programs/Assistant Statistical officers from the listed five government agencies.

A festive closing event was held on 22nd May 2023 to award certificates to the successful participants. The Senior Secretary, Technical, and Madrasha Education Division, Ministry of Education, Mr. Md Kamal Hossain, graced the event as the chief guest. Dr. Md. Omar Faruque, Rector (Secretary) of Bangladesh Civil Service Administration Academy as a special guest, foreign delegates, and ISRT faculty members attended the event. Professor Dr. Tamanna Howlader, the Director of ISRT, presided over the closing event.

ISRT congratulates all the attendees for completing the training program and expresses hope that the participants will effectively implement the knowledge gained to ensure the successful implementation of the Sector Performance Monitoring Framework (SPMF).
