All the Institutes of the University of Dhaka took part in a day-long Research and Publication fair on February 11, 2024, at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) premises.  Coordinated by the Institute of Statistical Research and Training (ISRT), the event was a platform for the institutes of the University of Dhaka to highlight their ongoing research endeavors and future plans.

The day-long fair started with an inaugural ceremony at 10 am. The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Dhaka, Professor Dr. A. S. M. Maksud Kamal graced the occasion as the chief guest and officially inaugurated the fair.  Special Guests of the program were Professor Dr. Muhammad Samad, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Professor Dr. Sitesh Chandra Bachar, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic), and Professor Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, Treasurer of the University of Dhaka.  Professor Mohammad Abdul Momen, Director, IBA welcomed all at the beginning of the session. The inaugural session was presided over by the Research and Publication Fair convener, Professor Dr. Tamanna Howlader, Director, Institute of Statistical Research and Training, University of Dhaka.

The day comprised five special sessions, commencing at 12 pm to discuss the current research endeavors of the respective institutes. Also, all the institutes had stalls to showcase their research activity and share their vision for the future. The students and teachers of the University of Dhaka as well as, the guests attended the fair. The fair was successfully concluded at 5 pm.
