ISRT gave farewell to our esteemed and distinguished faculty member Dr. Pk. Md. Motiur Rahman on February 24, 2020 with a simple ceremony. He joined ISRT as a Professor on March 3, 1993 and worked here for over 20 years until June 30, 2013, continuing to work as a Supernumerary Professor after his tenure. He held office as the Director of ISRT from January 22, 1993 to January 24, 1996. He has contributed greatly to ISRT for over the past two decades with his teaching, guidance and research activities. With research interests in Poverty issues, Macro analysis of Poverty, Inequality and Development issues in rural Bangladesh, he has a vast number of publications in the international journals. He is also the contributing author of several books such as “Poverty issues in rural Bangladesh”. ISRT family will always remain grateful for his dedication and contribution to this institute, hoping to have him by our side for the rest of his life.
