In December 2014, ISRT will celebrate its 50th anniversary and to mark this auspicious occasion, it is organizing the International Conference on Applied Statistics (ICAS) to be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh during December 27-29, 2014. The theme of the conference is “Applied Statistics: Meeting the Challenges of the 21st Century”. Its main objectives are to highlight the emerging areas of statistical applications, promote the interaction of statistics with other disciplines and create public awareness in a developing country like Bangladesh about the role of statistics as a key technology for development.
