Afsana Mimi, a student of 19th batch of Applied Statistics and last year MS student, has been named as the recipient of Conference Award for Scientists (CASc) by the International Society for Clinical Biostatistics (ISCB). The award will be handed over to Afsana in the 40th Annual Conference of the ISCB which will be held in July 14 -18, 2019 in Leuven, Belgium. Besides, two faculty members of ISRT, Professor Dr. M. Shafiqur Rahman and Miss Nasrin Lipi, and five students of 20th batch of Applied Statistics, Tasneem Fatima Alam, Sorif Hossain, Nasim Saba Nishat, Kazi Farhat Tabassum and Rezoanoor Rahman have received the Conference Fund for Developing Countries (CFDC) to participate in the ISCB 40th Annual Conference.
Three faculty members Dr. M. Iftakhar Alam, Dr. Anower Hossain, Dr. Mohaimen Mansur and Dr. Md Hasinur Rahaman Khan have received the World Bank Trust Fund for Statistical Capacity Building for attending the 62nd ISI WSC to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in August 18-23, 2019. Besides, faculty members Professor Dr. M. Shafiqur Rahman, Dr. Mohammad Lutfor Rahman and Professor Dr. Mahbub Latif and also faculty member (on leave) & current Ph.D. student of ISRT Mrs. Jahida Gulshan have received the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Funding for Participating also the ISI WSC in Malaysia.
Faculty member of ISRT, Dr. Md Hasinur Rahaman Khan has received the World Bank Trust Fund for Statistical Capacity Building (WB TFSCB) for ISI Satellite meeting International Conference on Environmental Statistics to be held in Kunming, China, 26-27 August, 2019.
