In the first round of the inter-department cricket tournament ISRT beat the Department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Technology by 5 runs. Batting first ISRT scored 161/7 in 20 overs. ISRT’s Emon scored 53 (49 balls), Zia 46 (32 balls) Zanibul Zico 25 (15 balls). In reply the Department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Technology scored 147/4 after 17 overs needing only 15 from last 18 balls. In 18th over Forhad took a wicket giving 5 runs; in the succeeding 19th over Zico had a maiden-wicket and harden App. Chem.’s target from 10 from 12 balls to 10 from 6 balls. Finally, in the 20th over Tanzir Rayhan kept his nerve with giving only 4 runs with a wicket and knocked a runout. At the end of 20 overs Applied Chemistry scored 156/8. Among ISRT bowlers Zanibul Zico 27/3 (5 overs), Forhad 26/2 (4 overs).
