ISRT is pleased to share the good news. Dr. Iftakhar Alam, an Associate Professor of ISRT, has been awarded first prize for the best faculty poster at the DU research-publication fair, held from 22-23 October at the central playground of the University of Dhaka. He won the award in the ‘Institution’s’ category, where posters presented by faculty members of different institutions under DU have been evaluated for their research value. Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman, the Honorable Vice Chancellor of DU, handed him over the award at the closing ceremony of the fair. The title of Dr. Alam’s poster was “Dose Finding in Seamless Phase I/II Clinical Trials.” The motivation behind this research was to find the optimum drug dose in the best intention clinical trial design when toxicity and efficacy have binary endpoints. The ISRT family congratulates Dr. Alam for winning this prestigious award.

Besides, one of the JSR articles, written by Dumitrescu et al. on “Variable Selection for Longitudinal Survey Data,” has been awarded as one of the best articles in the Journal Article’s category. The ISRT family also congratulates Dumitrescu (Victoria University of Wellington) and other authors for winning this prestigious award.
