ISRT Students Win Prestigious International Awards at the 46th ISCB Annual Conference in Switzerland for Outstanding Contributions to Research

ISRT is delighted to announce that four recent graduates from the ISRT family are the recipients of the prestigious awards from the International Society for Clinical Biostatistics (ISCB) for the upcoming 46th Annual Conference (ISCB46), to be held from August 24–28, 2025, in Basel, Switzerland.

ISCB46 Student Conference Award

Out of the four ISCB Student Conference Awards granted globally, three have been awarded to outstanding former students from the ISRT, University of Dhaka:

  • Muhitul Alam
    Title: Estimating Win Ratio for Prioritized Composite Outcomes in the Presence of Noncompliance
    Supervisor: Professor Dr. A. H. M. Mahbub Latif

  • Iftikhar Ahmed Shovon
    Title: Robust and Flexible Extension of M-quantile Regression with Adaptive Class of Regularization
    Supervisor: Professor Dr. Md Hasinur Rahaman Khan

  • A. F. M. Tahsin Shahriar
    Title: Extension of Causal Interaction Estimation Techniques through Integration of Machine Learning Algorithms
    Supervisor: Professor Dr. A. H. M. Mahbub Latif

The ISCB Student Conference Award covers conference registration (including a pre-conference course and dinner), accommodation, and economy class travel.

Conference Attendance Support Program (CASP)

In addition, one student has been selected for the Conference Attendance Support Program (CASP):

  • Samina Naznin
    Title: A Modified Doubly Robust Estimator for Clustered Causal Inference: Integrating GLMM and GBM
    Supervisor: Dr. Mohaimen Monsur

This award covers the recipient’s registration, accommodation, conference courses, and either the conference dinner or excursion, and travel expenses.
