Dr. M. Ataharul Islam, QMH Professor of our institute has breathed his last on 6 December 2020 (Sunday) at 1:13 p.m., while undergoing treatment of Leukemia at Evercare Hospital Dhaka (Apollo Hospital). He was 66. Inna Lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un. Dr. M. Ataharul Islam served ISRT as QMH professor from 2017 to 2020. He has published numerous academic articles and books.

ISRT family is deeply saddened by the death of our beloved great statistician in Bangladesh and first Qazi Motahar Husain Professor at ISRT.  ISRT family would like to extend its sincerest condolences to his family.
