It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Professor Emeritus and Distinguished Research Professor A. K. Md Ehsanes Saleh (School of Mathematics and Statistics, Carleton University, Canada). He peacefully departed from this world at the age of 91 in a hospital in Ottawa, Canada on September 3, 2023. Inna Lillahi Wainna Elaihe Rajeun. 

A scholar of exceptional caliber, Professor Saleh served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Statistical Research (JSR) of ISRT from 1993 to 2014. His tenure at the helm of JSR was marked by dedication, excellence, and an unwavering commitment to the advancement of statistical research. His legacy within JSR and the field of statistics will serve as an everlasting source of inspiration for present and future statisticians. 

Professor Saleh authored more than 150 high-quality technical papers published in prestigious international journals. Additionally, his academic contributions extended to the mentorship of 17 Ph.D. scholars.

The ISRT family deeply mourns the loss of Professor A. K. Ehsanes Saleh. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his beloved wife, two sons, daughter, and the wider circle of family, friends, and relatives who share in this profound loss.
