The ISRT Students’ Club organized a lively and heartwarming Pitha Utshob on January 29, 2025, celebrating the rich tradition of Bengali winter delicacies. The event brought together students, faculty, and staff in a joyous atmosphere, filled with the aroma of freshly made pithas and the warmth of cultural unity.

We were honoured to welcome Professor M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, PhD, Treasurer of the University of Dhaka, as our special guest. Professor Dr. Abdus Salam, Dean of the Faculty of Science, and Professor Dr. Upama Kabir, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, also joined us as special guests. Additionally, Professor Dr. Shuchita Sharmin, Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Barishal University, Professor Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science & Technology University, Pirojpur, and Dr. B. M. Mainul Hossain, Director of the Institute of Information Technology (IIT), graced us with their presence. Their participation, alongside the enthusiastic involvement of the ISRT community, made the event truly special.

From delicious homemade pithas to a vibrant gathering celebrating culture and community, Pitha Utshob 2025 was a truly memorable occasion that highlighted the essence of Bengali heritage. We look forward to continuing this beautiful tradition in the years to come!
