ISRT is delighted to announce that ISRT faculty member Md. Abdul Basit received the “Top Data Scientist” Award at the Grand Closing Ceremony of the Datathon 2.0, held on the 17th of August 2022. The competition was organized by the country’s leading digital operator Robi, powered by ‘AWS’ (Amazon Web Services). A total of 384 Teams from 11 countries participated in the Datathon 2.0 competition, and the top 25 teams proceeded to the final round. Internationally renowned Data Science and AI practitioners were part of the Grand Jury. The Grand Jury included Professor Paul Morrissey, Global Ambassador, AI/BDA TM Forum; Md Anowarul Arif Khan, Results Management Expert, Aspire to Innovate (a2i); Ramana Jampala, President & CEO, AVLINO; Huang Weiming, Head of Marketing and Solution Sales, Cloud Department, Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh), and Mohammad Arif, Data Scientist, Cognizant. Mustafa Jabbar, Honorable Minister, Posts and Telecommunications Division, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, was the Chief Guest at Grand Closing Ceremony.
