A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Institute of Statistical Research and Training (ISRT) of Dhaka University (DU) and the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b) was signed on August 07, 2023 at DU Treasurer office to conduct researches on public health, sexual & reproductive health and rights. DU Treasurer Prof.  Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed and Executive Director of icddr,b Dr. Tahmeed Ahmed signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institution.

Director of ISRT Prof. Dr. Tamanna Howlader, Senior Director of icddr,b Dr. Shams El Arifeen, Director of DU Public Relations Office Mahmood Alam, some faculties of DU and high-level officials of icddr,b were present on this occasion.

According to the MoU, Dhaka University and the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh will jointly conduct collaborative research on public health issues at the national and international levels. DU ISRT and ICDDR,B will also exchange faculties, researchers, students, and innovative ideas to develop partnerships. Besides, They will jointly organize seminars, workshops, and training programs.

DU Treasurer Prof.  Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed thanked icddr,b authorities and said that DU teachers, researchers, and students would highly benefit from this MoU.
