A modest ceremony was held on March 22, 2023, at the University of Dhaka’s Vice Chancellor’s office, where Professor Dr. Sekander Hayat Khan, a former ISRT faculty member, and his wife presented a cheque to establish a Trust Fund at the university. The fund has been named “Prof Sekander Hayat Khan Trust Fund.” The ceremony was attended by the Treasurer, Dean of the Science faculty, Director, other Professors of ISRT, and the Registrar of the university. The fund aims to award the best-performing student in the M.S. program in Applied Statistics with the “Prof Sekander Hayat Khan Gold Medal” annually. The recipient will receive the award from the Chancellor or the President of Bangladesh at the Dhaka University Convocation. The ISRT family congratulates Professor Dr. Sekander Hayat Khan on his great initiative.
