ISRT is pleased to share the good news. Two master’s thesis students (batch 23), Nofel Ahmed and Samia Ashrafi, who just completed their MS degree in Applied Statistics from ISRT, Dhaka University, have won this year’s prestigious 2023 ISCB Conference Award for Scientists for their thesis work both supervised by Dr. Md Hasinur Rahaman Khan. Nofel’s work title was “Implementation of Gradient Boosting for Survival Analysis with Competing Risk” and Samia’s work title was “Detection of Multiple Change Points in Survival Analysis with Narrowest Significant Pursuit Technique”. ISRT family Congratulates them on their achievements! Only three such awards are given each year to all participants from under-developing and developing countries worldwide by the International Society for Clinical Biostatistics (ISCB). Both students will be recognized for their hard work and dedication and received awards at the 44th ISCB annual conference held at the University of Milano-Bicocca in Milan, Italy, from 27-31 August 2023.
