Stata for Applied Statistics and Data Science

Admission for the August 2024 Program (13th Batch of Stata) is Now Open.

The Institute of Statistical Research and Training (ISRT) offers training program on Applied Statistics and Data Science using Stata regularly. This program aims to provide participants with a basic understanding of statistics while teaching them how to interpret results obtained from Stata output. New features of the program include exclusive classes focused on developing, discussing, and solving practical research problems using large-scale survey data, as well as group presentations of research findings.

Program Schedule

  • Registration deadline: July 20, 2024
  • Training duration: August 08, 2024 to September 01, 2024
  • Class time: 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
  • Class days: Sunday-Tuesday-Thursday

Number of Seat: 40 (limited, first come first admission)

Venue: ISRT computer Lab

Registration Fees

  • Tk. 15,000/= (Professionals), Tk. 12,000/= (Regular students, weekend and evening course students are not applicable here)
  • MPhil and PhD students of the University of Dhaka will get a 10% discount on the registration fee for ”professionals”
  • To be considered as “student”, copy of a valid ID card has to be submitted with the application form
  • Payment can be made either by cash (offline registration) or via Nagad/bKash (online registration) (please include the cash out charge 200 tk for online payment). Please see below for the details.

Requirements

  • Participants should have a basic knowledge in statistics and computer fundamentals
  • Participants must attend a minimum of 7 classes out of a total of 10 classes to be eligible for a certificate

Online Registration

  • Step 1: Send the registration fee through Nagad/bKash to +8801777837643. Insert “your name-Stata” in the reference while sending the money. Please call at this number for confirmation of receiving the amount.
  • Step 2: Fill up the online registration form .
  • Step 3: If you are a student, please send a copy of your student ID card to mkamal.office@isrt.ac.bd.
